Heinz Bloch founded Bloch & Partner in 1982. His preferred areas of practice are hospitality law and the development of international corporate structures with headquarters in Switzerland. Heinz is also experienced in the areas of distribution and licensing agreements, contract and corporate law and mergers & acquisitions.

Heinz has assisted a great number of corporate clients in international commercial transactions all over the globe. With more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry he is representing and advising hotel owners, investors, and hotel management companies on a wide variety of legal and business matters.

Heinz has received master’s degrees in law and in economics and a Ph.D in business administration and industrial sociology from the University of Berne (Switzerland). He also holds a J.D. from the New York University School of Law and is admitted to the bar of the State of New York and to the Swiss bar. He practiced law in the United States from 1966 through 1974 as corporate counsel to Carrier International and in his own international law firm Shwal Thompson & Bloch. In 1974 Heinz Bloch become Vice President and European Counsel to Hilton International in Brussels and in 1979 he returned to Switzerland and became development director and counsel for Swissôtel before establishing Bloch & Partner.

Heinz is a board member of several corporations and acts as a business advisor to a number of foreign and domestic companies.

Heinz is fluent in English, German and French.
