Beatrice Hunkeler advises domestic and international clients on all aspects of tax law, including value added taxes.
Domestic and international corporations rely on the tax expertise of Beatrice with respect to cross-border transactions. She has special expertise in multinational mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and corporate reorganizations.
Beatrice advises individuals on relocations, lump sum taxation, estate planning, business investments, real estate transactions and ongoing income and wealth taxes and handles all required compliance.
Based on many years of consulting experience, she has special knowledge in different areas of German tax law.
Beatrice has extensive experience in negotiations of tax rulings with tax authorities. Also, she regularly advises individuals and corporations in tax proceedings.
Beatrice studied economics in Lucerne and in Lund/Sweden and received a degree in tax law in 2002. She worked several years with Credit Suisse First Boston in Zurich and in London. In 1999, Beatrice joined KPMG and became a Senior Manager. She worked in their offices in Lucerne, Zug and Amsterdam. Beatrice started her own consulting company in 2007. She became associated with Bloch & Partner in 2012.
Beatrice teaches international tax law at the University of Applied Science in Lucerne and is a lecturer at the Swiss Tax Academy and other institutions.
She is fluent in German, English, French and Spanish.
